While visiting NWS in Maryland, I spent a day walking around Washington, DC. The Americans will cringe when they hear that I passed by this body of water and thought for a moment that it was the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. “A bit more natural than I was expecting,” I thought. I kept walking until I ran into the real thing: “Oh, that’s it.” 😅
