Someone at work recommended the terminal multiplexer Heardr. I’ve been trying it this evening and it’s not bad. Having a muxer with mouse controls is surprisingly useful. I just need to get over using Ctrl+B as the prefix key (I’m use to Screen’s Ctrl+A).
