So I guess today’s beginning with a game of “guess the secret password requirements.” 😒
I was at this change password prompt for 15 minutes, trying various combinations and rule sets. Managed to login with my old password by restarting the laptop with no network connection. Changed my password after that (interestingly with one of the attempts that failed) So all good now. But not a great experience, Apple.
I got some feedback from Mastodon and apparently it’s a bug in MacOS 14.0 that’s been fixed (improved?) in 14.01. This post describes some ways around it. HT to @pixelsnbits@social.lol.
