I don’t know what’s wrong with modern text editors, but none of them do code-completion well. Seems like whenever I type a dot to dereference something, they get confused and either throw up nothing, or suggestions of seemingly random things. Code-completion peaked in the frickin’ 2000s.

A code editor window displays a Go language method signature and a dropdown autocomplete list showing various suggestions such as d, dereference, nil, panic, and pointer, with a question mark graphic in the center.
